There’s plenty to get excited about this week in the Bay, so clear your calendars, and bring your appetites.
Put a house-made corn dog in one hand and a ping pong paddle in the other this Tuesday at Thee Parkside. The fun starts at 2 pm and lasts all day, so bring a friend, and get your game on.
Be sure to join us at The Bold Italic this Wednesday as we celebrate the middle of the week with Mezcal 101. Mexico’s original spirit has arrived in San Francisco in a big way. In this introductory class, we’ll be guided through the heady flavors of new and traditional varieties, while sampling flavor-enhancing appetizers. This is a great intro to the array of flavors of mezcal – and an opportunity to learn about the culture and history of this Oaxacan libation.
This weekend, be sure to visit the Blues Festival in Redwood City. The Redwood City PAL Blues, Arts and Bar-B-Que Festival features blues musicians from the Bay Area and beyond. In its seventh year, the Festival boasts a Bar-B-Que cook-off competition, where amateur and professional chefs compete for fun, plaques, and BBQ glory. Game on!
