It’s a busy foodie week in San Francisco! Here’s where you can join us:
Start you week with us on Monday (8/6) at 18 Reasons. There, you’ll be able to pick up some first-class knife skills. The class will cover tricks to perfectly de-bone a fish at home. You’ll practice your skills on sardines and squid, two sustainable fish which are affordable and easily accessible. Afterwards, you’ll witness a demonstration on a larger fish, so you can get started de-boning at home.
Next, join us on Tuesday (8/7), as the San Francisco Recreation and Parks Department presents Olympic Viewing Parties at Civic Center. You can join in Olympic skills games, gourmet foods, arts and crafts, and plenty of family fun. That way, you can merge your love of food with your love of competition.
Then, come meet us at SF Playhouse on Thursday (8/9) for the Thirsty Thursday “My Fair Lady” party. You’ll mix and mingle at a pre-show reception and enjoy a discounted ticket to a sexy, scaled-down production of My Fair Lady. There will be $1 beverages, $1 pizza, great music, and more. Costumes optional.
Finally, ring in your weekend with wine. On Saturday (8/11), Lakeside Cafe will host the 7th anniversary of the Golden Gate Wine Cellars Tasting Event. Come sample up to thirty new varietals from small, hard-to-find boutique wineries. RSVP in advance, since no tickets will be sold at the door. Cheers!
