With this feature, you can see badges that identify restaurants’ affiliations while ordering, viewing your meal calendar, or voting for your favorites. These badges showcase businesses owned by individuals from diverse backgrounds, aligning your meal choices with your values.
Why We Built It
Restaurant Affiliations shine a spotlight on the incredible diversity within our restaurant network, particularly during culturally significant months like Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, Hispanic Heritage Month, Pride Month, and Women’s History Month. By making these connections more visible, we aim to foster deeper cultural appreciation and empower our user base to support minority-owned businesses.
How It Works
You’ll see restaurant badges across multiple touchpoints in the app. Whether you’re placing an order or leaving feedback post-meal, we’ve made it easier for you to understand the type of businesses you’re supporting.
- Meal Calendar: Spot badges next to restaurant names and hover to reveal their cultural or community affiliation.
- Ordering Page: Identify and support diverse restaurants while selecting meals. Click on the numbered badge to see the full list of affiliations the restaurant identifies with.
- Feedback Page: Love a restaurant and want to see them again? When leaving feedback, you’ll see their affiliations highlighted, allowing you to champion businesses that represent underrepresented groups or minority communities.
